Ahed Tamimi, a symbol of Palestinian resistance!

Ahed Tamimi has not become a symbol of Palestinian resistance this winter. She was already a resistant before the video where she is seen hitting two Israeli soldiers. On 19 December, the soldiers arrested her at 4 in the morning, forcing her to leave her room with pink walls covered with old sponge Bob stickers. Four days earlier, 16-year-old Ahed Tamimi had insulted two Israeli soldiers who had taken a position in the courtyard of their house to dislodge stone throwers, before hitting the foot and then slapping one of them. All under the eyes of her cousin Nour, 20 years old, and in front of the camera of her mother's smart phone, Nariman, who broadcasted the altercation live on social networks.

Since then, the video has become viral and the effigy of Ahed, high chin and blond mane, is displayed on the West Bank walls as on the London bus shelters. Nour was released on bail on Friday, but Nariman is still locked up. Ahed's father, Bassem Tamimi, has a "volcano" in his belly. "I'm sad, I'm worried, but I'm also proud and confident. Ahed is very strong. She became the spirit of her generation. He has no regrets, but is annoyed when asked whether he sacrificed his daughter's childhood for the cause. "Yes, I trained my children to resist," he said. But if there were no occupation, I would send my daughter to her dance class. A petition for the liberation of Ahed began about three weeks ago. You can sign it (see the address above).
